Trekking in the main destinations of Bolivia, like the city of La Paz, Lake Titicaca and the Sun Island, the Andes Range in the Condoriri area and the surroundings of the natural wonder of Uyuni saltflats. Complemment with the rich and old Aymara culture.

Course of the tour

Day 01 | Arrival to La Paz

Transfer if from the International airport El Alto, at 14 km from the city of La Paz, to the hotel.

Day 02 | Trek to Animas valley and City tour

Trekking in the Animas valley, with impressive geographical formations done by the erosion and great views of the Andes Ranges with the Mururata and Illimani mountains. Return to La Paz and start the city tour in the Valley of the Moon, also with great geographical formations, going up to town in Miraflores, part of the colonial town, its museums, artisan and witchcraft markets and San Francisco church. Day 03 | Trekking in Lake Titicaca

Private transportation from La Paz to Copacabana (3 hours), at the shores of Lake Titicaca, continue to La Gruta, where the trek starts to Sampaya (3 hours), then hike down to the bay and take a boat to the Island of the Sun, near Pilkokaina ruins (1 hour) and hike for an hour to overnight in Ecolodge La Estancia. Day 04 | Trekking in Sun Island and Condoriri

DON’T MISS AN EARLY SUNRISE! Boat north to visit the Chincana ruins and Sacred Rock (1 hour), continue in boat back to Copacabana (2 hours), visit the famous Dark Virgin and its church. Transportation bordering Lake Titicaca first and then the highlands to finally approach to the Andes Range in the Tuni lagoon (3 hours). Where the trek starts up to Condoriri lagoon (3 hours), where the base camp is at 4,650 m. (BLD)

Day 05 | Trekkind in the Andes Range

Trek passing two summits of 5,000 m (3 hours) then going down the canyon of Pampa Leon until reaching Ancoma (5 hour), in a nice open valley, where you camp at 3,800 m. (BLD)

Day 06 | Ancohuma – Challapampa – La Paz

A half hour trek going down to Chacapampa (3,550 m), a small village where one of the hydroelectric plants of the Zongo valley is at. From where you take private transportation to La Paz (2 and ½ hours). (BL)

Day 07 | La Paz - Oruro (bus) - Uyuni (train)

Trip through the highlands from La Paz southwest in bus to Oruro (3 hours), then train south to Uyuni (6-7 hours), crossing a big portion of the highlands. Overnight in hotel. (BL)

Day 08 | Uyuni saltflats and trek the Tunupa

Trip to Colchani in the shores of the saltflats whete the locals produce salt, Enter this wonder of the nature, crossing to “Isla Incahuasi” (2 hours), a special habitat of volcanic rocks and giant cactus. Continue to visit the mommies of Coquesa in the foothills of the Tunupa volcano, where you\\\'ll start trekking up the volcano, up to a great viewpoint (5 hours), you’ll have incredible landscapes of the area and the saltflats. You\\\'ll hike back to the base and go to overnight in a hotel in Tahua (3 hours). (BLD)

Day 09 | Trek to Chillima – Oruro – La Paz

Trek to Chillima and ruins of Pucara, then descend hiking to the Uyuni saltflats (3 hours). Take private transportation north through the highlands, the crater of Tambo Tambillo, passing the villages Quillacas, Challapampa to finally reach Oruro (5 hours) and take the bus to La Paz (3 hours). (BL)

Day 10 | Return flight

Transfer out to the airport. (B)
